Wachusett Pop Warner was presented with the 2013 Central Mass Pop Warner Spirit Award, which is an award given out each year to the association that has taken the goals and philosophy of Pop Warner and instilled them with their members. The mission of Pop Warner Little Scholars is to enable young people to benefit from participation in team sports and activities in a safe and structured environment. Through this active participation, Pop Warner associations teach fundamental values, skills, and knowledge that young people will use throughout their lives. At every level, Pop Warner seeks to develop well rounded young men and women who learn not only the fundamentals of football and cheerleading but the importance of education, in an atmosphere conducive to developing sound, mind, body, and character. The program stresses learning lessons of value far beyond the playing or spirit days of the boys and girls involved, such as self-discipline, teamwork, concentration, friendship, leadership, and good sportsmanship.
